Workshop
The New Stage 6 English Syllabuses and ‘Textual Intervention.’
In this session, I will introduce the key elements of the new English syllabuses, particularly the Advanced, Standard and Extension 1 courses. As we examine each course, we will explore the valuable role Teacher Librarians can play in the preparation and delivery of the various modules. One key role will be supporting the greater focus on students reading and analysing a wide range of quality texts across a range of mediums and formats, in what some are calling ‘Textual Intervention’, in order to build quality models for their own writing.
